Before making coffee for the first time
1 Make sure that the steam/hot water knob is closed by turning clockwise (don't over tighten).
2 Lift out the tank, remove the lid and fill with cold water .Never fill above max level marked .Alternatively remove the lid and fill the
tank whilst in position on the coffee maker.
3 Swing out the steam/hot water nozzle and put a jug underneath.
4 Attach the filter holder to the machine by positioning it under the liquid coffee outlet and turning to the right ○,
underneath.
5 Switch on by pressing the "on/off" button .The OK indicator light will flash to indicate the unit is warming up. (Wait until the light
stops flashing which indicates that the correct temperature has reached).
6 Press the "two cup dispensing" button and wait until two cups of water runs into the bowl. (It will automatically switch off after two
cups have been dispensed).
7 Turn the steam /hot water knob anti-clockwise and allow two cups of water to run into the jug.
8 Turn the steam/hot water knob off by turning clockwise.
9 Repeat these steps once more.
● If you have not used the coffee maker for a few days repeat this procedure.
Preheating the coffee machine
To ensure your espresso coffee is dispensed at the right temperature, it is essential that the coffee unit is preheated.
1 Check that if the steam/hot water knob is firmly closed (turn clockwise) and make sure that there is water in the tank.
2 Put the valve & valve rubber into the filter holder first, then fit the filter cup into the filter holder (without coffee )make sure the tab
on the filter fits into the slot on the filter holder , attach to the machine by positioning it under the liquid coffee outlet and turning
to the tight ○,

3 Press the "on/off" button to switch on the machine and wait for 15 seconds before preparing the coffee .To accelerate the
preheating
process, please consult the following.
4 Put a cup under the filter holder .If you use the same cup that the coffee will be served in it will be preheated.
5 When the OK light stops flashing, press the "one cup dispensing" button and allow water to flow out .It will switch off
automatically after one cup has been dispensed.
6 Remove the filter holder and empty out the hot water and proceed to make coffee using ground coffee .It is normal
for a small puff of steam to be given off when removing the filter holder.
to make espresso using ground coffee
1 Preheat the appliance as described on "preheating the coffee machine".
2 Make sure that there is water in the tank.
3 Put the valve & valve rubber and filter cup into the holder .Make sure that the tab on the filter fits into the slot on the filter holder.
● Use the filter cup for making one cup of coffee (or when using coffee pods ).
4 Add the coffee using the measuring spoon provided ,one level spoon per cup .level the surface then lightly press with the back of
the measuring spoon .Wipe off any coffee around the edge of the filter.
5 To make one cup espresso, Do not forget fit the silica gel cushion into the filter cup.
6 Lift the filter holder into the liquid coffee outlet .Turn it to the right to lock into position ○,
● Put one or two cups underneath ,if making one cup of coffee, centre your cup in the middle.
6 Wait until the OK light glows continuously then press the button for the desired number of cups "one" or "two" .It will
automatically
dispense as you wish. The machine will dispense the correct amount of paused manually by pressing either the pre-selected
"one" or
"two" cup button .
7 Remove the filter holder by turning to the left.
● There will be water on the filter when you remove it : This is normal
8 To remove the used coffee from the filter holder, knock the filter holder and wipe off the coffee.
9 Press the "on/off" button to switch off.
caution
● Never remove the filter holder while coffee is brewing and the "steam" buttons are pressed – steam could shoot out and burn
you.
