Maintenance

WARNING: Do not operate the sweeper
with the bottom of the engine near your
waist. This will help prevent burns from a
heated surface.
WARNING: Never use the sweeper on an
unstable surface (such as a rooftop). This can
result in a serious personal injury or death.
WARNING: Do not wear loose clothing,
scarves, or jewelry while operating the
sweeper. These items can get caught in the
sweeper's moving parts and cause injury or
death.
WARNING: Discharge debris away from
electrical devices to reduce the risk of
electrocution or electric shock.
WARNING: Do not point the sweeper at
people, pets, or small animals. Debris from
the sweeper can cause serious personal injury
or death.
WARNING: Do not use the sweeper on
raised objects. These objects can damage
the unit. If you do strike a raised object while
using the sweeper, and this results in damage
or vibration, discontinue use immediately.
Operating a damaged sweeper can result in
serious personal injury.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Do not use solvents or abrasive chemicals when
cleaning any of the sweeper's plastic parts Most
plastics can be damaged by commercial solvents
and cleaners Use a soft cloth to wipe any dirt,
grease, dust, or other debris off the sweeper
WARNING: Do not allow petroleum-based
products, brake fluid, or gasoline to contact
the sweeper's plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage or destroy the plastic, which may
result in serious personal injury.
LUBRICATION
The bearings in this product come pre-lubricated
This commercial-grade lubricant is sufficient
for the life of the unit during normal operating
conditions No further lubrication is required

Operation and Maintenance
REPLACING THE ROTATING BRISTLES (FIG. I)
• To remove the worn bristles, loosen and remove
the screw (1) and nut (2) at the end of each
bristle drum
• Remove the end caps (3) and slide the bristle
drums off of the shaft (4)
• Slide the new bristle drums onto the shaft
• Replace the end caps aligning the holes to the
drum and shaft
• Insert the screw through the drum and shaft and
tighten the nut

Inspection

Before each use, and if the sweeper has been
dropped, inspect these parts:
SWEEPER
• Wipe the sweeper with a clean dry cloth
• Check all nuts, bolts, knobs, screws, fasteners,
etc , for tightness
• Inspect moving parts for damage, breakage, and
wear Have repairs made on any damaged or
missing parts
• Store sweeper indoors in a clean, dry place out of
the reach of children
• Do not store near corrosive materials such as
fertilizer or rock salt
POWERHEAD
• The handle should not have cracks or other
damage It should be clean, dry, and free of oil,
moisture, or anything else that prevents a firm
grip
• The electronics cooling vent should be clear and
free of debris
• The battery pack should be clean, dry, and show
no signs of puncture, impact, or other damage
The contacts should be clean, dry, and free of
debris
• The battery port and contacts should be clean,
dry, and free of debris
• The variable speed trigger should operate
smoothly and should cause increased powerhead
speed with increased pressure
