OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Mosquito and other insect females feeding on blood bite to obtain the proteins they
need for their eggs to mature. They fly around to find the hosts to bite following visual
stimuli
such as light and olfactory contrasts: carbon dioxide and the odours released by the
human body through breathing and sweating.
Through the combination of all these stimuli, Sandokan MOSQUITO ZAN, attracts the
insects inside the action area of its NEW fan, sucking them inside the special compart-
ment, where they soon die due to dehydration.
The new collection filter has a shutting system to ensure that the insects cannot get out
when the fan turns off.
We recommend installing the device in early spring so as to minimize the number of
mosquitos when their population is still small.
SANDOKAN ATTRACTANT INSTALLATION
MOSQUITO ZAN doesn't make use of insecticides, pesticides, repellents, essential oils,
antimosquito spirals or candles. It does not make use of hazardous chemical products
or possibly hazardous products to the human body or to the environment.
MOSQUITO ZAN can be used in combination with Sandokan attractants containing
octenol, carboxylic acids and other molecules present in the normal metabolism of
humans and animals.
This device makes use of the most environmentally-friendly methods available on the
market, and is completely safe for you and the environment.
INSTALLATION:
(Part No. 7355, Part No. 7356)
- Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the device from power
mains (Fig. 1 - 2).
- Open the top cap of MOSQUITO ZAN, by lifting the cover delicately with two hands
(Fig. 3 - 4) and insert the attractant; if cap (part. No. 7355) is used, make sure that holes
are pointing up.
ATTENTION! CHECK THE PRESENCE OF DANGEROUS INSECTS INSIDE THE COM-
PARTMENT OF ATTRACTIVE
To clean the compartment of attractive use a damp sponge. Do not dip it in water.
- Insert the cover back, checking that the 4 pin of the cap match with the 4 holes of the
MOSQUITO ZAN.
- Connect the device at the power mains to reactivate the trap.
Periodically replace the attractants, as stated in the indication of the manufacturer.
MOSQUITO ZAN POSITIONING
To optimise its effectiveness, the device will have to be used in poor-lighted environ-
ments. Install MOSQUITO ZAN in sparsely attended areas and, anyway, never remain
near the device for too long. In fact, mosquitos are generally more attracted by persons
than by the device, and could thus bite you before being trapped.
MOSQUITO ZAN is weatherproof and is provided with anti turbulence deflectors.
It can be used inside offices, houses, or terraces and balconies, patios, gazebos, veran-
das and exposed in the garden.
Do not ever use it in backwater and don't connect it to the power supply when wet.
Always place MOSQUITO ZAN on the floor or on a plain and wind shelted surface.
