Dip the sponge into the
water-filled tank and allow
it to absorb the salt water.

Gently
stretching
sponge, push the eyelets over
the four studs on the underside
of the lid. The sponge should
stretch slightly and be tight
against the electrode.
ENSURE SPONGE IS WETTED WHEN OPENING LID

To test the final water level, place a crustacean on the sprung tray.
Close lid, wait a few seconds, and open lid. The scoop should be
just able to pick up water and trickle it behind sponge, keeping it
wet. If not, add a little more water, but do not overfill.
IMPORTANT
ENSURE THAT THE SPONGE IS SOFT AND PLIABLE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO IT SPONGE THAT IS DRY OR
PARTIALLY DRY.
THE SPONGE ENSURES THAT CRUSTASTUN IS EFFECTIVE AND OPERATES EFFICIENTLY. IT MUST BE
CLEAN AND FREE FROM DEBRIS. IT MUST NOT BE TORN OR NOTICEABLY DISCOLOURED.
TO MAXIMISE THE SPONGE LIFE DO NOT LEAVE THE SPONGE ATTACHED TO THE LID OVERNIGHT
OR WHEN THE CRUSTASTUN IS NOT USED FOR EXTENSIVE PERIODS.
WHILST FITTED TO THE LID, THE SPONGE SHOULD AT ALL TIMES BE WET OR MOIST.
IF IN DOUBT REPLACE THE SPONGE.
