Intended use

The Bluetooth USB adapter 1 687 023 777 enables the
wireless connection between PC/laptop and the follow-
ing Bosch products:

KTS 515/540/570/Truck

Do not use the Bluetooth USB adapter
1 687 023 777 for DCU 100, DCU 130 und DCU 220,
because they are equipped with a high-performance
Bluetooth hardware.
2. Important notes
2.1 What to remember when using the
Bluetooth USB adapter
In order to ensure an interference-free communication,
observe the following notes.
R
Bosch PCs with operating system Win 7 that are
installed in BEA 850/950, FSA 740 or FSA 760 in
the trolley, have to use the USB 3.0 interface for
the Bluetooth USB adapter1 687 023 777 (see USB
interfaces in operating instructions 1 689 989 190).
R
It is not possible to operate any other Bluetooth
hardware fitted in or plugged into the PC/laptop
at the same time. Bluetooth hardware that has
been plugged into the PC/laptop must be removed.
Bluetooth hardware that has been installed must be
deactivated (see sec. 2.2).

When using the Bluetooth USB adapter
1 687 023 777, the energy management of the
Bluetooth radio device must be deactivated (see
sec.°2.3).

If the PC/laptop already uses the Bluetooth USB
adapter 1°687°023°449, it does not have to be re-
placed by the Bluetooth USB adapter 1 687 023 777.

The Bluetooth USB adapter 1 687 023 777 only
works in connection with the Microsoft Bluetooth
driver. The procedure on how to select the Microsoft
Bluetooth driver is described in DDC's online help
(as of version ESI[tronic] 2.0 - 2015/3).

2.2 Deactivating the Bluetooth hardware

Administrator rights for the PC/laptop are required
to carry out the following steps.
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click on the "Computer" folder, then left-click
on "Properties".
? System control is opened.
3. Left-click on "Device manager".
? Device manager is opened.
4. Under Bluetooth radio device, right-click on the
Bluetooth hardware that is installed in the PC/lap-
top, then left-click on "Deactivate".

The Bluetooth hardware installed in the PC/laptop will
be deactivated.
2.3 Deactivating the energy management

Administrator rights for the PC/laptop are required
to carry out the following steps.
1. Plug Bluetooth USB adapter 1 687 023 777 into an
available USB port.
? Windows automatically recognizes and installs
the driver for the Bluetooth USB adapter.

The device is now ready
Once the message

appears in the task bar, the installation of
the Bluetooth driver has been completed and the
Bluetooth USB adapter is ready to operate. Depend-
ing on the Windows activity, this can take up to a
few minutes.
2. Open Windows Explorer.

? Generic Bluetooth Radio is displayed in the de-
