PROBLEMS, PROBABLE CAUSES AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

If you have a problem with your coffee machine, the most probable cause is that the
pod holder is clogged up: Wash it in plenty of running water or wash it in the dishwasher.
Problems
The coffee does not flow.
The coffee is too short
and the operation is noisy.
Coffee leaks from the
percolator head.
The pod is damaged
when the appliance is
opened.
The preparation is pale
and there is no froth.
The button flashes rapidly
and does not stop.
The head cannot be
closed correctly.
The head cannot be
opened.
Probable causes
- The water tank is empty.
- Pump drained.
- Appliance scaled.
- The pod holder is clogged up.
- The water tank is empty.
- The water tank is not inserted
correctly into its housing.
- The pod holder is clogged up.
- The head is dirty or impurities are
preventing it from closing
correctly.
- The percolator head seal is
damaged.
- There is still pressure in the head
when it is opened.
- The pod is not positioned correctly

- The pod is not compatible with
the coffee maker.
- The coffee maker has switched to
a safety mode because of
overheating.
- The pod is not placed correctly in
the pod holder.

pressure.

- Fill the water tank.
- Fill the water tank, remove the filter
holder, lock the head and press the
button until the water flows.

paragraph).

a descaling solution at 80°C and then wash
it in the dishwasher.

slots into the base.

- Clean the percolator head and the pod
holder with a soft cloth.
- Contact an approved service centre.
- Wait until the button stops flashing before
opening the head.
- Place the pod in a flat position in the
pod holder, ensure that the coffee is
evenly distributed in the sachet.
- Soak the clogged pod holder for 4 hours
in a descaling solution at 80°C and then
wash it in the dishwasher.
- Change the pod.
- Leave the appliance to cool for 6 hours.
If the problem persists, contact an
approved service centre.
- Place the pod in a flat position in the
pod holder, and ensure that the coffee is
distributed evenly in the sachet.
- Change the pod.
- Do not force the locking knob. Wait for
quarter of an hour. If the problem persists,
contact an approved service centre.
- Only use flexible pods with a diameter of
71 mm. ESE type pods are not
compatible with the coffee maker.
