BATTERY INFORMATION
The BATTERY CHECK key permits a level of charge check of the battery,
indicated with a level of 0 (flat) to 5 (fully charged).
When the battery is fully charged about 30 visualisations of a duration of one
minute can be carried out.
It is very important that the battery is not left flat for a long period of
time,
as it will deteriorate. Once deteriorated its level of charge will be
reduced in a very short time, even if a re-charge is carried out.
A re-charge after every use is advised.
The equipment automatically turns itself off within a certain time if no key
has been pressed. However the battery is subject to its own auto-discharge,
it is therefore necessary to re-charge it, even if it has not been used, at least
every 6-9 months.
Charging the battery.
supplied by the maker. Check that the input voltage of the battery
charger, indicated on it, is the same as the grid voltage.
chargers with 230V and 115V are available. If when ordering, "battery
charger 115V" is not specified, a 230V model will be supplied.
Insert the battery charger plug into the mains socket and then insert its
output plug into the connector situated at the bottom of the INOUT DISPLAY.
The time needed for the charge depends on the discharge level of the
battery. The charge can in every case be considered complete after 5 hours,
but the battery charger can remain working for longer periods without
causing problems.
If desired the correct working of the battery charger can be verified: check
the battery level with the BATTERY CHECK key both before connecting and
then 30-40 seconds after it has been connected. An increase in the level
should be shown.
When the battery charger is disconnected from the mains after the charge,
the removal of the plug inserted in the INOUT DISPLAY is recommended,
otherwise the battery will discharge.
Substitution of the battery.
correctly used. It is a good idea to substitute it if it loses charge too quickly.
Unscrew the 6 fixing screws of the command console and slowly turn it
upside down. Extract the battery and disconnect the two wires connected to
it.
The battery is of the lead type, re-chargeable: 6V 1.2Ah.
