defrosting the appliance
Defrost the freezer compartment whenever the layer of frost on the
surface of the evaporator reaches 3 mm.
1. Before defrosting, remove all foods, set the thermostat knob to
the OFF position and unplug the refrigerator from power.
2. Place the drip tray under the evaporator to collect defrosting wa-
ter.
3. After all the frost has melted, discard the collected water and dry
up the interior of appliance.
4. Plug the refrigerator to the power outlet and start it by turning
the thermostat to a setting other than OFF.
Do not use metallic utensils or an electric heater to defrost the unit
since this will damage it.
power outage
• If you experience a power outage, foods can be preserved for a
couple of hours even in summer. It is important to reduce door
openings and not to load fresh foods into the freezer.
moving the appliance
• Before moving the refrigerator, please remove all items inside it
and tape the glass shelves, fruit and vegetable boxes, freezer
drawers as well as the door so it won't open during transportation.
• Do not turn the unit upside down, or horizontally. Do not carry
the appliance at an angle greater than 45° or let it vibrate during
the transportation.
Important: Continuous operation is recommended once the refrig-
erator is started. Do not move the refrigerator under normal circum-
stances so as not to affect its service life.
