BEFORE FIRST USE

Clean the set of hot plates with a damp cloth and some washing-up liquid
before first use. A light smoke release may occur upon first use of the
appliance.

OPERATION AND FUNCTIONS

Place the desired set of hot plates on the appliance. Hot plates are non-
adhesive but you may add some vegetal oil if you wish.

Plug in the appliance. The green control light is on. Let the appliance pre-
heat. The red control light illuminates once the cooking temperature is
reached.

Open the appliance by pulling the latch towards you. Fill the holes using a
spoon full of dough. Be careful not to use too much dough! Do not overfill
the holes as the dough swells during cooking.

Close the appliance.
appliance will not close. Never use force to close the appliance. The latch
ensures the correct closure of the appliance. Pull the latch towards you to
open the appliance.

The cooking time ranges from 5 to 8 minutes. Pop cakes and donuts are
cooked once they are light brown underneath and golden on the top. Pull
on the latch and open the appliance once cooking time has elapsed. To
protect the coating of the hotplates, make sure you always use a wooden
spatula or spoon when removing pop cakes or donuts. Never use sharp
metal utensils. CAUTION: When you remove the cakes, the hot plates
are very hot, burn hazard!

If there is resistance while opening the appliance, it means the cakes are
not totally cooked. Let them cook slightly longer.

If you wish to cook another batch of cakes, lightly grease the hot plates,
close the appliance and wait until the temperature goes up. Once the red
control light illuminates, open the appliance and fill the holes with dough.
Unplug the appliance and leave it open to cool down once you are done
baking.
Note: Do not use the appliance with the lid open. Do not try to remove the
dough while the appliance is running. The appliance shall always be laid
horizontally. The exterior of the appliance gets hot during cooking and pre-
heating – be careful when handling it.
