Safety instructions when plugging the
appliance into the mains socket
• Check the appliance is functioning correctly
before use. The appliance must not be used if:
– The power cable is damaged.
– The appliance has visible signs of damage.
– The appliance has been dropped.
• Never wrap the power cable around the
appliance.
• The power cable must not come into contact
with the hot parts of the appliance, and must
never be placed in between the hot plates!
• Plug the appliance into the wall only when the
appliance is switched off!
Safety instruction when using the appliance
• The appliance must never come into contact
with flammable material. It must also never be
used near flammable material, because the hot
plates can reach temperatures of up to 200°C!
• Never cover the hot plates up with any object.
• The appliance must never be switched on when
the hot plates are attached. Ensure that the
plates are open before turning the appliance
on!

• Children are not aware of the dangers posed
by electrical appliances. Therefore, close
supervision is required when children are using
the appliance.
• Unplug the power cord from the wall socket:
– If the appliance is not working correctly.
– Before cleaning.
– After each use.
• Do not pull on the power cord to unplug the
appliance, and do not carry the appliance by
the cable.
Warning!
The hot plates and hot parts of the appliance
can cause burns!
Do not grab the appliance by its hot plates when
it is switched on. The hot plates can cause burns.
Avoid all contact with the skin and eyes. Never
move the appliance while it is still hot!
Risk of electric shock!
• Do not use the appliance if your hands are
wet, while taking a bath or shower, or above
a sink filled with water. If the appliance falls
into the water, immediately unplug the power
cable from the electricity mains. When the
