Manuale del d'uso ed installazione – GAK 50
OPERATION TO BE CARRIED OUT IN ORDER TO START THE
MACHINE
A) Insert the general switch planned for the feeding line.
B) For the machines without a tank: open the water delivery pipe (that of the water reservoir).
For the machines provided with tank: fill the tank with water (only for the first operation), and open the
tap on the water delivery pipe (that of the water reservoir).
For the machines provided with tank: fill the tank with water (only for the first operation), and open the
tap on the water delivery pipe (that of the water reservoir).
C) Operate the ignition switch (1): the red lamps (2 and 4) should go on and the pump should whistle (A).
(If you to not hear the whistle, it means that the pump is locked, therefore consult the page "machine
failures".
When the water level has reached the right height, the lamps (2 and 4) go off and the warning light (3)
goes on. It is necessary to insert the group of heating resistances 1 and 2 by inserting their respective
switches (11) and (12). After a few seconds, the lamp (6) indicating the star of the group of resistances 1
goes on and, after 4-5 seconds, the warining light (13) indicating the insertion of the group of resistances
(2) will go on.
The insertion delay of group 2 is created in order to avoid abrupt absorption variation caused by the
great heating power of the machine.
It is also possible to insert only one group of resistances, and it can indifferently be group 1 or 2.
Wait until the gauge (7) indicates the operating pressure before opening the steam tap (8).
The tap (8) should be opened slowly, and it is necessary to wait a few instants in order to allow the
installation or the connected machine to go under pressure.
We recommend paying special attention to the points of the machine which are at
high temperature both during operation and during the time after extinction.
Normally, after extinction it is necessary to wait at least 30 minutes for a complete
cooling to take place.
It is forbidden doing maintenance operations while machine is operating or still in
pressure.
The pressure switches, codes 1856 and 4709 , referred to in the table of page 28 with
numbers 26 and 49, are calibrated at 3 and 5 bar respectively and sealed by
Reverberi. It is absolutely forbidden for the user to remove the seals from the
pressure switches.
This pressurised equipment has been inspected and is complete with safety devices
and accessories. These tests and inspections meet the essential safety requirements
laid down in annex I of the applicable directive, 97/23EC.
This pressurised equipment must be checked and controlled periodically when
working in accordance with the specific regulations and laws.
OPERATION TO BE CARRIED OUT AT THE END OF YOUR WORK
A) Disconnect the switch (1)
B) Disconnect the general switch of the feeding line.
C) Close the water delivery tap.
D) Close the tap (9) located on the pump (A).
E) Wait until the boiler pressure has gone down to 1 bar, then empty the boiler with the exhaust tap (10).
F) After about a minute, close the exhaust tap again (this operation is very important, therefore it should
be carried out carefully, if possible every day).
NOTICE: To have an incrustation-free boiler and a generator with long life in good repair, we
recommend you always carrying our the above mentioned operations.
