Brushing like the grown-ups
From age 2, make sure your child brushes his morning
and night using a small brush with soft bristles and a spot
of suitable toothpaste (fluoride content 500 ppm).
SOFT TOOTHBRUSH
Because the bristles are made of soft nylon, you can look
after milk teeth without hurting your child.
Let your child brush his teeth on his own. Supervise him
and make sure that his teeth are properly clean.
He should brush his teeth after every sweet or sticky snack.
Change the brush head after illness and 4 or 5 times a
year for maximum hygiene.
To prevent tooth decay, use a pacifier as little as possible.
What is infant tooth decay?
Tooth decay is very widespread in children.
It can cause pain through contact with cold air or liquids, chewing
or spontaneously during the night.
Decay may develop in children:
- Whose oral hygiene is inadequate
- Who have a sweetened bottle or pacifier before going to sleep
- Whose diet is rich in sugar
Untreated decay can have negative repercussions for future
permanent teeth
Clean your child's mouth after administering a sweetened
medication.
Do not put your child to bed with a bottle.
