9. Overheating
Overheating generally occurs only if one of the openings of the fan heater is
blocked. This appliance comes with a self-resetting thermal fuse. The heater
switches off automatically once the overheating temperature is reached. The fan
heater can be operated again once the fuse is reset.
10. Cleaning and Care
Set the ON/OFF switch of the appliance to the "0" position and disconnect it from
the power supply before you start cleaning it. Allow the appliance to cool down
completely before cleaning it.
To keep the heater clean, the outer cover can be cleaned with a soft and damp
cloth. After cleaning, dry the appliance using a soft cloth.
CAUTION!: Do not allow any fluids to get into the heater.
Do not use alcohol, petrol, abrasive powders, furniture polish or rough brushes to
clean the appliance. This can damage the heater.
Wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it.
Please remove the batteries from the remote control if you do not intend to use
the heater for a long time to prevent corrosion. Keep the remote control in a safe
place.
The appliance comes with a dust filter. Open the protective grille using a Phillips
head screwdriver and remove the dust filter after switching off the appliance
completely. Clean the dust filter by rinsing it and then brushing it clean. Replace
the dust filter properly after cleaning, close the protective grille and tighten the
screw again.
11. Safety instructions and disclaimer
Never try to open the appliance to carry out repairs or modifications. Avoid contact
with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The appliance is not ap-
proved for outdoor use. Therefore please use it only in dry surroundings.
