1. Place the wheel (A) Fig. 3 inside one corner bracket
(B). Use a 2-1/4" hex head screw (C) and locknut (D)
to secure it.
NOTE: Insert the screw (C) from the inside of the bracket
(B).
2. Attach the remaining wheel (A) Fig. 4 to the other
corner bracket (B) in the same manner.
IMPORTANT: Make certain that both end brackets are
at 90 degree angles to each other and that the wheels
are pointing in the same direction.
3. Depending on the type of machine and the location of
the operating controls, decide on the best location for
placement of the foot lever and caster assembly.
IMPORTANT: You must attach the foot lever and caster
assembly directly opposite the two wheels (Fig. 1). Its
location must not interfere with the safe operation of the
machine, or cause the machine to be top-heavy and unbal-
anced when the mobile base is in the raised position.
4. Measure the machine's footprint. Add 1/2" to the
width (E) Fig. 5 to accomodate the machine. Cut TWO
pieces of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" hardwood (preferably oak,
maple, or cherry). These boards (E) Fig. 5 will be the
end sections of the mobile base.
5. Cut TWO pieces of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" hardwood (F)
Fig. 5 to the length of your measurement. These
boards (F) Fig. 5 will be the sides of the mobile
base.
6. Set the pieces into the corner brackets (B) Fig. 6 as
they would be positioned in the final mobile base
assembly. Make certain that the side pieces (F) Fig.
6 are approximately 1/2" away from both wheels (A).
Measure the inside dimensions of the mobile base
set-up (Fig. 6). The measurements should closely
match the dimensions of the machine. If adjustments
are necessary, cut new end or side boards to fit, or
adjust the position of the boards in the brackets.
