OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the equipment and keep them safe for
future reference. S&P's complete DHUM EN dehumidifi er range complies with safety stan-
dards IEC 60335-1 and IEC 60335-2-40.
We recommend you check the condition and functioning of the equipment on fi rst unpacking
it. Any manufacturing faults are covered under S&P's guarantee.
SAFETY AND OPERATING RECOMMENDATIONS
• Check that the electrical supply's current and voltage match those indicated on the name-
plate. The nameplate can be found on the back of the equipment, after removing the water
tank (Fig. 3).
• A permanent electrical installation must be carried out by an installer and comply with
national standards for electrical installations.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must in the interests of safety be replaced by S&P's after
sales service or by qualifi ed personnel.
• IMPORTANT: Both the front/upper part and the rear part of the dehumidifi er must have
suffi cient clearance (minimum 50 cm) to allow appropriate circulation of air.
• The dehumidifi er must not be used in the immediate vicinity of a bath, swimming pool or shower.
• This device is intended as a home appliance for domestic dehumidifi cation. It should not be
used for any other purpose.
• Changes or modifi cations which alter the equipment's normal operating characteristics
represent a potential source of danger.
• Do not position the equipment so that it is close to a heat source or exposed to the sun.
• Before moving the equipment, disconnect it from the power supply and remove condensed
water accumulated in the tank.
• Keep the device disconnected from the power supply when not in use, and before moving
or cleaning it.
• Never insert a foreign object into the interior of the dehumidifi er.
• Do not leave the equipment in operation on an unstable fl oor since it can produce noise and
vibrate.
• The unit must be in a completely fl at position when in operation, to guard against damage
to the equipment caused by leakage of water.
