Tools Required: 13 mm open-end spanner (2), 4 mm hex wrench,
small box wrench, or short length of rope (to remove tension spring)
Parts Required: None. All Hip Throttle Kit parts are preassembled,
and assemble to blower frame using existing hardware on blower.

NSTALLATION
1. Disconnect spark plug wire.
2. Disconnect throttle wire (A) from carburetor and loosen adjust-
ment nuts (B). Remove throttle cable from carburetor.
3. Disconnect primary lead coupler (C) and remove ground lead
terminal (D) from crankcase.
4. BLOWERS ARMS WITH LONG TENSION SPRING/SPRING
HOLDER ONLY: Using a box wrench or rope, pull the hooked
end of the tension spring (E) away from the edge of the frame
hole. Release tension on the spring, and allow it to retract into the
hole.
5. Unscrew (2) 5 mm x 25 mm screws (F) securing Harness Fixture/
Inside Trigger Bracket Fixture to frame, and remove old Hip
Throttle Arm from backpack frame.
6. Discard old Hip Throttle Arm, Inside Trigger Bracket Fixture,
Tension Spring, and Spring Holder.
NOTE: New Hip Throttle Arm provided in kit uses a
preassembled, pretensioned compression spring to maintain arm
position.
