13. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
14. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch any hot surface.
15. A short power-supply cord is used to reduce the risk of it being grabbed by children,
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
WARNING:
16. Spilled food can cause serious burns. Keep appliance and cord away from children.
Never let cord drape over edge of counter, never use an outlet below the counter, and never
use the appliance with an extension cord.
17. Before using it for the first time, please make sure that the electric rating of the appliance is
in conformity with the current electric rating.
18. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet.
To disconnect, press the ON/OFF button once for the screen to turn off, then remove the
plug from the wall outlet.
19. DO NOT place unit on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or inside a heated oven.
20. When the porcelain pot is hot, DO NOT put frozen food inside it nor wash it with cold water.
21. DO NOT uncover the lid while cooking; if you do so, the heat will escape and more cooking
time will be needed.
22. To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in the porcelain pot. DO NOT cook food
directly in the aluminum base of the unit.
23. DO NOT place the porcelain pot on top of a gas stove burner.
24. To avoid any cracks or damage to the slow cooker, proper maintenance is necessary.
25. Intended for household countertop use only. Keep 6 inches (152 mm) clear from the wall and
on all sides. Always use the appliance on a dry, stable, and level surface.
26. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated foods or cold liquids into
the heated porcelain pot.
27. The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
