Chronometer COSC, accuracy
For the certification, the average accuracy must not exceed
the following tolerances at 23°C:
Gent's watches: -6 to +8 sec. in 24 hours (-20 / +25)
Ladies watches: -8 to +10 sec. in 24 hours (-25 / +28)
(In brackets: standard tolerances for non-certified mechanical
quality time-pieces)
Conditions such as changing temperatures, personal wear-
ing-habits, aging, etc. can influence these static benchmarks.
In case of necessity, contact your dealer or an official Ventura
Service point for an adjustment.
Storage
To avoid drying-up of the synthetic lubricants inside the move-
ment during extended idle periods (storage), we recommend
the use of a watch-winding apparatus such as the avant-garde
ventura v-winder (see www.ventura.ch) or a weekly manual
winding.
Periodic Maintenance
There are no specific manufacturer's recommendations in
regards to maintenance. When your chronometer looses its
precision after a few years, it is probably time to submit it
to a factory overhaul. The movement of your watch will be
removed and partially disassembled for thorough cleaning,
fresh lubrication and adjustment. It is of utmost importance
that such work is done by a Ventura-approved service point
(see www.ventura.ch) to avoid unnecessary cost and risks.
Warranty Conditions (Important, please read)
Ventura Design on Time Ltd. and its appointed distributors
are covering your watch with a warranty against any manu-
facturing defect. The warranty is conditional to an evidence
of the date of purchase, such as the original, correctly filled-
in warranty-card or the dealers invoice.
The service-technicians appointed by the manufacturer or its
official distributor will be the final judges to determine, if the
cause of defect is within the manufacturers responsability.
Within the first 24 months after the date of purchase, the
repair of such a manufacturing defect by the official service
agent or the manufacturer or its appointed distributor is
free of charge. Thereafter, the labour cost will be charged.
This limited warranty does not cover:
Damage resulting from accidents, mishandling or abusive
use (Excessive shocks, denting, breaking etc), unauthorised
alteration, manipulation and/or repair by persons without pro-
fessional qualification, normal wear, tear and aging; batteries,
strap, buckle.
Your watch has a water resistant construction and has success-
fully passed a test simulating the water depth engraved on
the case-back. (1 Bar = 10 Meter or 3 ft)
Please be aware that only watches with securely tightened
screwed-down crowns are suitable for swimming and diving.
Warranty will be denied, if the entry of water was caused by
an un-tightened crown.
For models with regular (not screwed-down) crowns, this
warranty does not à priori cover damages due to leakage,
because the water resistance can be impaired by events
outside of the manufacturers responsability, such as shocks
(e.g. to the crown) and excessive temperature changes.
The manufacturer and its appointed distributors decline any
responsibility for consequential damages and/or third-party
claims and/or loss. All parts replaced under warranty remain
the property of the manufacturer.
