BEFORE STARTING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Remove all packaging.
Clean and dry the unit as described under "Cleaning and maintenance".
HOW TO USE YOUR RACLETTE
Make sure that the thermostat is in position MIN.
Connect the main plug to a suitable electrical outlet. Switch on the appliance using the
thermostat. The control light lights up. Set the thermostat to position MAX. Preheat the
appliance for 10 to 15 minutes.
If you want to use the grill after preheating, then keep the thermostat in position MAX.
Otherwise it is recommended to lower the temperature a little.
The unit may emit a slight smell or smoke the first time it is used. This is normal and will only
last for a short time. Ensure proper ventilation.
Use approximately 200g of raclette cheese, appenzeller cheese or tilsit cheese per person.
Cut the cheese into 3 to 5 mm thick slices. The slices must be smaller in diameter than the
pans.
We recommend the following ingredients: boiled potatoes, pickled gherkins, olives,
pickled mini onions, vegetables, ham, boiled meat and anything suitable to be backed
with cheese.
Put the desired ingredients into the pan. Cover the ingredients with a slice of cheese.
Place the pans onto the base. Place each pan into the indicated position. Grasp the pans
by the handle only. Do not grasp and cross the stopper. Place desired ingredients on the
grill plate. Ingredients must not touch the heating coil. Therefore, ensure the pans are not
overfull.
When the cheese has melted, the contents of the pan may be moved onto a plate.
Season according to taste. Use soft things like wooden spatulas to remove the cheese
from the pans, cannot use too hard or sharp things to remove. Otherwise, the non-stick
coating might be damaged. Add to the cheese vinegar gherkins, pickled mini onions etc.
as well as ketchup and dips.
When finished, switch off the appliance with thermostat to position MIN.
Unplug appliance, after cooled, store in indoor, a safe & dry place, away from children.
