MS Electric tail docker with cutting grip
The MS tail cutter is equipped with a special knife. The cutting grip is made of a non rust material.
It is recommended that the knife and cutting grip are cleaned and disinfected following use. Dirty residues on the knife will
cause a "burning smell" and increase the risk of bacterial and viral infections.
The cutting knif
The knife is made from a high quality alloy. The knife is sharpened during
manufacture. The knife is red hot and sharp in normal use.
DO NOT SHARPEN OR SCRAPE THE KNIFE.
Cleaning
Clean the knife and cutting grip with domestic detergent and disinfect after
use.
Knife replacement
Loosen the screws at the head of the heating body. Remove the knife.
Replace the knife in the openings. Tighten the two screws well to ensure a
good electrical contact to heat the knife.
Warning
• This appliance requires a 220-240 Volt AC power supply.
• Set the knife vertically. The cutting point is located at the lowest point in the
middle of the hole in the cutting grip.
• Switch off the tail docker when it is not in use.
• The electric heating unit may overheat following periods of long use.
• Overheating may cause irreparable damage to the heating unit.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by overheating or
incorrect use.
• The knife blade will become red hot in seconds.
DO NOT USE FOR LONG PERIODS
Use for a maximum of 10 minutes
Then cool for about 10 minutes.
Handy tips
• Pen the pigs for tail docking into a small area before starting.
• Keep the machine in a safe place after use.
• Clean the cutting clamp and knife after use.
• This appliance can also be used to cut umbilical cords on piglets, lambs,
pups and other species.
• Make sure that the pig's body never touches the heated knife.
