•
The water pipes and all conductive parts that come into contact with the
frost protection cable must be earthed.
•
Check the antifreeze cable for damage before installation. Frost
protection cables with damaged sheathing must not be used and must be
disposed of.
Note: Ensure that the antifreeze cable does not touch or cross other
antifreeze cables. This will cause the antifreeze cables to overheat and may
result in fire or electric shock.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
Cable and insulation selection
•
Measure the length and diameter of the pipe.
•
Select the cable that comes closest to the pipe version. The cable must not
be more than 600 mm shorter than the pipe and no longer than the pipe. It
is possible to use two cables on one pipe length that can overlap 600 mm
when used on the opposite sides of the pipe.
•
Select a suitable insulation to be laid over the antifreeze cable or pipe.
Foam or mineral wool insulation can be used. Ensure that the foam
insulation used is fireproof.
