BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove the air cooler from the box and discard all labels, stickers, plastic bags and filling
materials.
2. Inspect the air cooler carefully for damage which may have occurred in transport. If damage
is suspected, consult your reseller.
3. Verify that your power mains match the nameplate ratings of the air cooler.
4. Wash the ICE BOX cooling cartridges (5) with water on the outside, dry them, fill with water (if
they are empty), and refrigerate or freeze them until cold or frozen.
CAUTION! Never change the water in the ICE BOXES after the first filling! Only the first filling will provide the
best cooling performance: the Ice Boxes are filled with a cooling promoter in powder.
5. Install the castors (4) under the base. Two of the four castors feature lock levers which brake
the wheels.
USING THE AIR COOLER
1. Place the air cooler on a firm, flat and level surface.
CAUTION! Keep a clearance of 50 cm minimum around the air cooler.
CAUTION! The air cooler must be operated upright only.
2. Turn the lock lever (13) to the horizontal position at the back of the air cooler to release and
gently remove the water tank (8).
3. Place the cold ICE BOXES (5) in the water tank (8). If uses, the Ice Boxes greatly improve the
air cooling and humidifying performance. You can keep the air cooler cool the air without
interruption by using one of the Ice Boxes while refrigerating or freezing the other Ice Box.
4. Fill the water tank with cool and clean water until it reaches a level between the MIN and
MAX marks. Slide the water tank back into the air cooler and lift the lock lever (13) upright to
secure. You can add ice cubes to the water in the water tank.
5. Plug in the air cooler to the mains.
6. Start the air cooler by pressing one of the Fan speed control buttons, 1, 2 or 3 (1a). The air cool
starts running in the Fan mode only.
CAUTION! Do not cover air inlets and outlets.
7. Press COOL (1b) to start air cooling / humidifying. The water pump starts to force water
through the tubing to the water evaporation filter (6), where the air flow supplied by the air
cooler is cooled down. The water leaves the water evaporation filter back to the water tank.
8. Check the water tank (8) level frequently. If the water level falls below MIN, stop the air cooler,
unplug it from the mains, and refill with water to a correct level.
CAUTION! Never leave the air cooler running with not enough water in the tank: risk of damage to the water
pump!
CAUTION! Do not fill with water over the MAX level.
9. Use the SWING button (1c) to start and stop the louvre swing function to have the air flow
oscillate. The vertical louvre (3) starts swinging back and forth to make the cool air flow from
the left to the right and through the middle of the front of the air cooler.
