1. Carefully remove the outer two hole caps from center step section of bumper. Save caps for later re-installation. Do not remove the
larger center cap. Drop one of the 5/8" flat head socket bolts #6 down through each of the existing holes in the bumper step. These
bolts will be the center hitch attachment points.
2. Position the receiver assembly #1 up against the bottom of the vehicle side frame so holes in frame brackets line up with existing
holes and weld nuts in the frame. Loosely bolt in place with 12mm bolts #5. Be sure to place a conical washer #4 on each bolt
before threading into frame. Do not tighten bolts at this time.
3. At center strap attachment, place a tapered spacer #2, at each hole in the bottom of the bumper and the two hole strap on the hitch.
The previously installed 5/8" bolts will drop down through the spacer and hitch attachment strap. See Illustration 1a below. Position
the tapered spacer so it matches the angle of the bumper and bolt securely in place.
4. Tighten the 12mm bolts to 75 ft. lbs. torque and the 5/8 bolts to 150 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result
in loss or failure of bolts.
5. Replace caps into holes in bumper step. If they do not lock into place, remove the raised "X" section of plastic from bottom of cap.
