The electric power is provided by a standard lead car battery 12Vdc-80Ah ( not supplied with the
machine ); the battery can be directly connected to the machine with a 10m cable; the power cable at
one side is provided with pincers suitable for connection to the battery. The supply voltage is not
regulated and therefore the motor speed is at the maximum when the battery is fully loaded and it
progressively reduce when the battery is discharging. When the tines rotation speed becomes too low,
it's necessary to switch off the machine and to reload the battery. The operator should make sure that
when he connect the pincers of power cable to battery the machine switch must be in off position to
avoid a sudden start. The switch should be put in off position any time you want to stop the machine or
you want to disconnect the cable.
In case of motor overload, with excessive strength of the branches on the head tines, the motor switch
off automatically. After a recovery period of few seconds the machine restart automatically. If the
machine switch off too often it means you are inserting the machine too deeply into the large branches
and therefore you have to use the machine more softly around the tree.

USE OF THE BATTERY

The battery is not supplied with the machine. Please make reference to the user manual of the battery
and the battery charger to get indications on the usage precautions, maintenance and charging
instructions.
7. TINES SUBSTITUTION

To substitute a broken tine you have to keep out the relative cap -T-
Using one screwdriver remove the screw -V- and the washer -Z-.
Position the tine holder on a vice or similar support, taking care not to grasp the tine itself.
Be careful in positioning the tine holder otherwise when you will push out the broken tine using one 6
mm pin, you risk to damage the internal ball bearings.
When the broken piece is out, clean up the tine holder and position the new tine together with the 2
protection caps in the tine holder, push it down and then hold it tight by screwing up the screw -V-
together with the washer -Z-.Close with the cap T leaking the head from dust and water.
