If DI8 should be used as a normal digital input, insert a resistor as indicated below: fig. 5.
4. PHYSICAL CONNECTION OF THE RS-485 INTERFACE
1) Line termination: include line termination (120 ) only at the network ends.
2) Recommended cable: balanced shielding to operate with differential signals (ex.: AFS
series from KMP , etc.);
3) Grounding of the cable shield: connect the shielding to the equipment frame.
