As can be seen in the figures, ventilation is disabled near the heating setpoint but the radiant plate remains active. The value Δt can be set via
dip 2 SW2, as indicated in the Dip-Switch SW2 settings table. The dead band shown in the figure may be equal to 2°C or 5°C, depending on the setting
of dip 7.
OPERATION OF THE REMOTE SHUT-OFF VALVE
If a remote shut-off valve is installed (dip 1 ON), the water probe can only be positioned downstream from the valve itself (for engineering reasons).
The fan inhibition time is then calculated automatically according to how long the valve has remained closed; in this way, it can vary from a minimum
of 0' 00'' to a maximum of 2' 40''.
The valve operating logic is as shown below:

OPERATION OF THE DIVERTING VALVE IN AUX
In AUX mode, the fan coil can only work in heating (changeover blocked) thanks to the use of the radiant plate. The figure below shows the operating
logic of the diverting valve.
ENABLING THE RADIANT PLATE
As shown in the figure, the radiant plate can only work if the water temperature is within a certain operating range (18°C - 50°C). The
lower limit is based on the need to prevent the formation of condensate on the surface of the radiant plate, whereas the upper limit
is dictated by the need to prevent the user from coming into contact with excessively hot external surfaces (ref. CEI EN 60335-2-40).
MS LOGIC WITH RADIANT FAN COILS
In Radiant mode, the MS input disables the "ventilation only" function (not the entire functioning of the thermostat), so the regulator
can guarantee "radiant only" operation.
ADDITIONAL CHECKS
EMERGENCY OPERATION
The following two fault situations are envisaged:
No water probe
In this case, the thermostat behaves as follows:
•
Ventilation is always enabled.
•
The season changeover is based on the difference between the set value and the room temperature. If the room
temperature is higher than the set heating value, and the difference is equal to the dead band, cooling mode is activated;
if the room temperature is lower than the set cooling value, and the difference is equal to the dead band, heating mode is
activated.
•
In this case, the activation/deactivation of the heater depends not on the water temperature but on the mere thermostat
operation request.
