SETTING UP YOUR SABRECUT LOG BUDDY
Fig 1. Layout the Log Buddy on a level area. Ensure the base of the Log Buddy is in the
correct position with the 'This Way Up' label facing in the correct direction.
Fig 2. Remove the 1. retaining spring clip and 2. bolt from the Log Buddy to allow the
whole mechanism to be released.
NOTE: The retaining spring clip and bolt can be used to make transport and storage
simpler by locking the mechanism in place.
Fig 3. Lift up the support bars as shown in the picture.
Fig 4. Lift the inner frame and position so that the holes of the support braces and inner
frame line up as per picture.
Fig 5. Fix together using the supplied fixings as shown.
Fig 6. Your SabreCut Log Buddy should now look like this with the Lower teeth facing
backwards.
Fig 7. Position the swinging arm and insert log so that 1/3 of the log is through the
frame.
Fig 8. Position the log on to the lower teeth and lower down the swinging arm so that it
rests on to the log. Carefully release the weight of the log so that it engages with both
the upper and lower teeth. Make sure the teeth fully bite in to log. Apply some
downward pressure to the longer length of the log so that it fully engages with the
teeth further.
Fig 9. Always cut the log from the longer, overhanging end. You may need to move the
log forward depending on the size and weight of the log. You may need to adjust the
height of the upper swinging arm depending on the thickness of the log.
Figure 10. To adjust the height of the swinging arm, remove the retaining clips and re-
move the sliding bolt. You can now adjust the height as needed. Reassemble as needed
and ensure the bolts and retaining spring clips are fitted securely.
