SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
Before connecting the pump to a power supply network, always check that mains voltage matches the
voltage shown on the rating plate that is fixed to the pump, and that switch is in the off position.
CHECKING SETTINGS OF THE PUMP SWITCHING ON/OFF
Float switch controls switching the pump on and off. Before starting the pump, check the following:
Float switch should be installed so it can easily access triggering levels (on and off ) with little force. To
check, place the pump in a vessel filled with water. Lift the float switch (2) manually, next lower it. Doing
so, note positions when the pump switches on and off (fig. A and B).
Ensure the connection between the float switch and the pump is free to move and distance between the
float switch and the pump is not too small. When the distance is too small the switch, and the pump as
well, may operate improperly.
The last thing to check is that the float switch does not reach the bottom before the pump switches off.
Such setting may cause the pump to work dry.
When the water surface drops below defined level the pump will switch off automatically, and when the
water surface goes up and exceeds approximately 50 cm, the pump will start operation. Thanks to the
sensor, which detects drop of water level, the pump stops as soon as the tank is emptied.
PRIOR TO OPERATION
You can start using the pump after reading this manual carefully and following below recommendations:
Ensure the pump is suspended appropriately or is in stable position on the bottom of a well.
Ensure the pressure conduit (at the pump outlet) is connected properly.
Ensure the power supply parameters are 230 V AC, 50 Hz.
Ensure the mains socket is in good technical condition.
Ensure there is no possibility the pump operates dry.
Remove the power cord plug from mains socket before commencing any activities related to installation,
adjustment, maintenance or repair of the pump.
Described submersible pump is a high quality and tested product, which does not require any maintenance.
The pump has been subject to thorough and final quality check at the manufacturer's facility. The
manufacturer recommends to check the condition of the pump regularly and carry out necessary operation
activities during the pump operation. Doing so will guarantee long and fault-free operation of the pump.
If water level drops and sludge or other impurities get into the pump inlet and dry up, it may cause that
the pump will not start. That is why it is recommended to often check motor of the submersible pump (by
starting up the pump to test it).
In case the pump is often transported during its life time, wash it with clean water before each restart.
For stationary installation, check operation of the float switch (2) from time to time.
Remove all fibrous impurities that may deposit in the pump casing with strong stream of clean water.
Remove sludge from bottom of the well, where the pump is installed, on a regular basis (preferably every
3 months).
Use clean water to remove deposition from outer surface of the pump float switch.
IMPELLER CLEANING
If excessive deposition appears in the pump casing, do the following to clean:
Unscrew connector pipe (5), connection (4) and blanking plug (6).
Use stream of clean water to clean impeller and casing interior.
Follow specified actions in reverse order to assemble all parts.
