1. Drill hole – Using a 2.5" hole saw drill through rear bumper cover at predefined dimple located in center of cover, see Figure 1. Insert (1) 3/4" flat
washer ①, (1) 3/4" lockwasher ② and (1) 3/4" bolt ③ through the hole.
2. Feed (2) 1/2" carriage bolts ⑤ and (2) spacers ⑥ through access holes on both end of bumper beam cross member using the pull wires ⑨, see
Figure-2 & 3. Leave pull wires attached.
3. Install Hitch – Raise hitch into position. Loosely install 3/4" bolt ③, (2) 1/2" conical washers ⑦, and (2) 1/2" hex nuts ⑧ to the hitch.
4. Tighten all 1/2-13X1.50 GR5 fasteners to 75 ft-lb (102 N*m) and 3/4-10X2 GR 8
fastener to 380 ft-lb (515 N*m).
5. Install Bolt Cap - Apply silicone sealant to head of 3/4" bolt ③ and install (1) bolt cap ④ on head of the bolt.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and
exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut
access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C.
