and the response level of the detected signal decreases gradual-
ly till to return to 0.
When the display shows the maximum value it means that the
metal object is located under the centre of the instrument sensor.
The cross of the "g" icon is shown on the display. The indicator
led flashes red and the instrument emits a constant acoustic
signal.
Live wires detection
Press the button (7) with the electric voltage symbol to switch to
the scanning mode to search for electric cables: the symbol "i"
of live cables appears on the display.
If you are sure that there are no live wires around the detector,
but the buzzer sounds a constant sound and the indicator light
flashes red, it means that the detector needs to be re-calibrated.
Calibration method:
- Place the instrument where no metal neither strong magnetic
interferences are present (e.g.: hold the tool up in the air)
- Press the live wires detection button (7) again until the buzzer
stops sounding and the green light (1) lights up: the calibra-
tion has been completed.
- Release the button (7) to detect the electric voltage.
The detector can find 110 volts, 240 volts and 380 volts (AC)
live cables

Electronic level function (inclinometer)
Press the level button (5) to activate the plane level detection
function (inclinometer).
The detection of the plane level in the X / Y direction is an auto-
matic function of the instrument.
The test results are displayed on the screen instantly.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SAFETY AND FOR INSTRUMENT
OPERATION
The results of the device measurements can be compromised
by certain environmental conditions like the proximity of other
equipment which produce strong magnetic or electromagnetic
fields, humidity, metal building materials, laminated sheet
insulation materials or wallpaper.
Therefore, please also check with other information sources (e.g.
construction plans) before drilling, sawing or milling in walls,
ceilings or floors.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
If in metal detection mode, the "d" indicator continuously shows
an amplitude even if metallic objects or live cables are not present
near the instrument, the instrument can be calibrated manually.
Calibration method:
- Remove all metal objects nearby the instrument (including wri-
