The XKM 2000 DA kit contains the
communication module, a shaft to fit the
module into, connection cables and
connectors for connecting the
communication module to the control
unit of the cooker hood.
For the DA 7090 W / 7000 D, a longer
connection cable is required (Material
no. 07 944 580).
The kit is fitted to the cooker hood in the
area of the motor and is connected to
the controls of the cooker hood.
The communication module may
only be connected by a qualified
and competent person in strict
accordance with current local and
national safety regulations.

^ These installation instructions
describe the steps required when
fitting the module with a new (not yet
installed) cooker hood.

If the communication module is
being fitted to a cooker hood that
has already been installed, this must
be carried out by an authorised ser-
vice technician.
^ When arranging the electrical cables
make sure that they are not
squashed or kinked.
After the installation is completed, a
safety check must be carried out in
according to national and local
regulations (e.g. VDE 0701-1).
^ Once fitted, the XKM 2000 DA
module must be signed on in order
for communication to take place (see
"Establishing communication").
