4. Initial setup

Charging the battery
• When the unit is not in use or switched off, it will automatically recharge the
internal battery as long as it remains connected to a standard DC5V/1A USB
port. The charge LED lights up.
• When the
icon flashes on the screen, it means that the battery needs to
be recharged.
• The unit will shut down automatically when voltage level drops below 3.0V.

5. Advanced operation

Pairing the speaker with wireless devices
Note: Before installing this product, please make sure your device is
compatible with Bluetooth®.
1. Turn the power switch on located on the back of the unit. HI will appear
on the screen.
2. Enable the Bluetooth® feature on your audio device and set it to discover
the wireless speaker.
3. Remember to place your wireless device and the speaker not more than
one meter away from each other.
4. Next, cycle to the Bluetooth® feature on the speaker by pressing the
MODE button found on the media panel and select it as the input source.
The dot next to the bt symbol blinks fast on the display accompanied by a
short tone to indicate that the speaker has entered into the pairing mode.
5. Once the speaker appears listed under the newly found Bluetooth
(XTS-700) of your wireless device, it will ask if you want to pair with it.
6. Accept by pressing Yes or Ok. If you have a lower Bluetooth® version,
you may be prompted to enter the passkey 0000 (4 zeros).
7. When pairing is successful, another tone will be heard through the
speaker making the dot blink slowly. If after 60 seconds the pairing process
fails, please repeat steps 1 through 6 described above.

8. You can now start streaming audio through the speaker wirelessly from
your favorite Bluetooth®-enabled devices.
9. To reset the Bluetooth® feature, press and hold the
several seconds. The Bluetooth® function will be disconnected.
10. The speaker will re-pair automatically with memorized devices after
being turn off and on again.
How to use the recording feature
1. First, make sure to have a microphone connected and a compatible
memory card or USB drive inserted on the back panel in order to activate
the recording feature.
2. After selecting the mode where you want to save your recording
(micro-SD™ or USB), press and hold the REC button around 5 seconds.
The timer will appear on the screen when the recorder is activated.
3. Start recording, and when finished, press briefly the REC button once
again to stop recording.
4. To listen to your recording, briefly press the Play/Pause button.
5. To delete a recording, select the track you wish to eliminate. Press and
hold the Play/Pause button until delete appears on the screen.
Tuner mode operation
Recommendation: A 3.5mm cable can be plugged for better signal
reception.
1. First, press the MODE button briefly to select the tuner.
2. Next, press the Play/Pause button to start searching for active
channels.
3. Detected frequencies will be saved automatically in memory as CH-01
through 50.

4. To tune your saved frequencies, briefly press the tuner – and
tuner + buttons on the media panel.
5. If you want to manually switch frequencies, briefly press the CH button,
followed by the tuner – and tuner + buttons to scan the band in a
downward or upward direction.
