    2- TO 4-WIRE HYBRID CONVERTER 2. Introduction With the 2- to 4-Wire Converter, you can use a 2-wire modem on a 4-wire leased telephone line. It’s a passive device that enables conversion of 2-wire analog modems for use on 4-wire 600-ohm leased lines. The Converter connects to the modem and the line via your choice of RJ-11 or screw-terminal connectors.

    2- TO 4-WIRE HYBRID CONVERTER 3. Installation 3.1 What to Do First The Converter is designed to work with 2-wire leased-line modems with a transmit level of 0 dBm. Make sure that your modem is set at this level before you install the Converter.
