The P 360 drum gripper
-
is for vertically lifting and transporting 200litre steel drums or 220 litre plastic L-ring drums.
Assembly
Preparation
The drum lifting device must be hooked on and lifted up by a crane eye.
Care must be taken that the drums to be lifted are dry and oil- or grease-free!
It requires two people to be able to lift a drum with the drum lifting devices:
Person 1 use of the crane
Person 2 to fix the holding tongues on the rim of the drum
Important:
Danger of injury by crushing when the drum is raised!
When lifting keep hands out of the trapping area!
Specifications
See type label.
Operation
Loading
Drive up centrally to the drum to be loaded with the drum lifting device.
-
Lower the retaining tongues over the rim of the drum. Make sure that the tongues have a grip under the rim of
-
the drum
Raise slightly, adjust until the retaining tongues are touching the drum.
-
Lift the drum (the retaining tongues must rest against the drum under the rim during the lifting procedure).
-
By the effect of gravity the drum is held fast by the retaining tongues.
Moving the drums
Only move raised drums at walking speed
-
Take the greatest care when moving over uneven ground
-
There is the danger that the load will start rocking even with careful handling
-
Do not walk under suspended loads!
-
Unloading
As soon as the drum touches the ground after lowering it is automatically released by the drum lifting device.
Exception: Drum tongs FZ 500 H, with these the stop mechanism has to be unlocked to release the drum.
