Ultima MOS-5 H2S Smart Transmitter
Quick Start Guide
3) Applying Power to the Detector
Immediately following power-up, the instrument will carry out this sequence on the display:
followed by normal operation.
The analogue output will be at 4.0mA.
NOTE:
Remove the red cap after power up. Replace the cap and desiccant if the sensor is to be
left off-power for long periods of time.
The instrument should then be allowed to stabilise for 24 hours. The display should read "0"
if no Hydrogen Sulphide gas is present at the sensor.
4) Checking Calibration
Place the magnet on the
Logo on the Nameplate
Apply test gas with a
concentration of 50% FSD and
check the value on the display
The value of the gas concentration will be indicated by the flashing display and should stabilize
in 1 to 2 minutes
Should the final reading fall outside the required limits (10% FSD + test gas tolerance) a full calibration
is advisable.
NOTE:
If you have any problems in the set-up or testing of the detector,
"Troubleshooting Section", or call the factory direct.
The instrument is now ready to operate. Please consult the Ultima MOS-5 manual for more
information on the instrument's many features.
