OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
For optimal power, ensure the panel is directly facing the sunlight.
WARNING:
• Follow the below instructions carefully to not cause any bodily harm
• Correct polarity must be observed for product to function properly and safely
• Risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons if operating instructions are not followed
• Any misuse or tampering of the product and/or any included accessories will void warranty and may cause bodily harm
• Follow all safety instructions provided by the battery manufacturer when handling 12V batteries. Always wear safety
glasses. Keep sparks, flames and cigarettes away from batteries at all times.
• Solar charge controller must be used in an indoor and dry environment
SOLAR PANEL STAND:
On the rear of the panel, simply pull out the integrated stand. Extend stand to maximum for securing the panel.
For additional stability, add weights to the bottom of the stand (this step is optional).
Two 40 Watt solar panels can be connected together in parallel to a single 7 Amp charge controller. To achieve
this parallel connection either contact technical support or visit your local Canadian Tire Store for
additional components.

CONNECTION SETUP:

Under direct sun, connect the solar panel to the green LED voltage tester. If the LED illuminates, proceed with installation.
