What is UVCARE
and what is it used for?
This device is used for disinfection of room air which
may be contaminated by viruses, bacteria or fungi,
also enclosed in aerosols. It can reduce the virus load
in polluted rooms by up to 99.9%, with the type of
viruses determining the application time. Viruses,
including corona viruses (e.g. SARS-CoV-2), bacteria,
fungal spores, etc. are inactivated. Even mutations of
known virus strains are reliably disinfected according
to the current state of knowledge. In this process, the
germs' ability to reproduce is destroyed, rendering
them completely harmless.

What do you need to know before installing

UVCARE
?
®
UVCARE
may only be operated indoors. Before
drilling holes, make sure that no power cables are
installed at the location. Connect the device by
plugging the Euro plug into a suitable socket. The
power plug also has the on/off switch for the unit. In
case of ceiling mounting, it is possible to disconnect
the power plug from the cable and connect it, for
example, to the lighting circuit or another switchable
circuit. Please note that such work must be carried out
by qualified personnel.

How to install UVCARE
?
The preferred installation is ceiling mounting via
supplied cable suspension. Alternatively, installation
can be on the wall, standing on optionally available
stainless steel feet or mounted on optionally available
stand.
Please be sure to follow the illustrated assembly
instructions.
The ceiling suspension:
Screw the supplied support plates under the ceiling.
Ensure that they are firmly seated! Screw in the
retaining screw for the wire rope. Insert the wire rope
into the rope holder on one side and then screw it into
the center of the cross holder (screw). Then thread the
wire rope into the ceiling rope holder and align it.
Repeat these steps for the second support. The wire
rope can be released again by pressing on the pin of
®
the rope grommet. The UVCARE
air purifier works
most effectively when mounted at head height, but
should not hang lower than 2.10 m (bottom edge of
unit).
The wall suspension:
Fix the screws horizontally or vertically in the wall at
the appropriate distance from the cross holder. Hang
®
the UVCARE
into place. Horizontal installation,
approximately at head height, is recommended. For
®
design or space reasons, the UVCARE
can also be
installed
vertically
(plumb).
If
necessary,
installation height can also be lower than 2.10 m. In
this case, it must be ensured that the air slots are not
looked into directly over a longer period of time.
Other installations:

The UVCARE
can also be used as a mobile solution
with the aid of optionally available stands or the height-
adjustable stand.

What specifics and safety instructions must
®
be observed when operating UVCARE
?
®
UVCARE
has a radiation source inside, which emits
extremely strong UVC radiation. This radiation is
encapsulated inside the device and cannot escape to
the outside through the air openings (inlet/outlet).
Since UVC radiation can cause severe damage to the
skin and retina, do not operate the unit if it is damaged
in any way. Never operate an opened UVCARE
Never come into direct contact with UVC radiation.
When replacing the UVC tube, make sure that the
power supply remains disconnected during the entire
process.

UV radiation is dangerous for the eyes and skin. When changing the tube, it is important
to ensure that the UVCARE® is switched off and disconnected from the power grid.
Otherwise, the housing must not be opened under any circumstances.
Recommissioning is only permitted after the housing has been correctly assembled
respectively.
