Use
If necessary, adjust the mitre guide (17) to
the required angle and tighten it securely
using the locking screws so that it cannot
move during work.
Mark the cutting line on the top of the tile
with a pencil.
Place the tile on the base plate (18) so that is
lying right up against the mitre guide.
Pull the handle (5) far enough back that
the blade wheel (16) is on the edge of the
tile and precisely lined up with the marked
cutting line.
Press the handle down with a light pressure
and push it forward so that the blade wheel
cuts a groove in the tile.
Lift the handle and pull it back without the
blade wheel touching the tile. Make a new
cut on top of the same groove 2-4 times,
depending on the thickness and glaze of the
tile. Make sure the tile is held in exactly the
same place all the time, so that the blade
wheel is in the same groove every time.
NB! The blade cannot and should not cut
through the tile!
Lift the handle and place the foot (15) down
onto the middle of the tile. Slowly and
carefully press the handle (5) down until the
tile breaks along the cutting groove.
NB! Tiles must always be cut from above.
If the tiles are glazed on both sides, they
cannot be broken using the tile cutter.
Instead, cut a groove as described above and
then carefully tap the underside of the tile
with a light hammer along the groove until
the tile breaks.

Cutting holes
Use a pencil to mark the centre of the hole on
the top of the tile you want to cut a hole in.
Push the cutting unit (4) right up to the
buff ers (3).
Attach the hole cutting unit (7) to the rails
using the bracket (11), so that the centre pin
(13) is in the middle of the hole (14).
Loosen the screw that determines the radius
of the hole blade (12) in relation to the centre
pin (13).
Take hold of the handle (9) and the support
grip (10) and press the handle down so that
the centre pin and hole blade are lifted.
Push the tile in onto the base plate (18) and
make sure that the marked centre is exactly
under the centre pin.
Adjust the hole blade to the intended radius
of the hole and tighten the screw on the hole
blade's bracket.
Slowly release the handle (9) so that the
centre pin and hole blade rests against the
tile.
Turn the turning handle (8) around until the
hole blade has cut right through the tile.

Cleaning and maintenance

Use a soft brush to remove any dust from the
tile cutter after each use.
Wipe the rails and cutting units with a soft
cloth with a little acid-free oil added to
protect the parts against rust.
