Position I is used to cool down hot objects, drying paint or cooling the device after long operation with high
temperature before putting it away or replacing a nozzle.
When changing high temperature position II or III to position I, wait until the device cools down to
temperature of 25
0
C.
Opalarka jest urządzeniem bardzo łatwym w użyciu. Four position switch (3) allows to adjust air stream
temperature to the work at hand. Po włączeniu opalarki należy chwilę odczekać, aż powietrze opuszczające
dyszę osiągnie pożądaną temperaturę.
Small emission of smoke is normal when switching the hot air gun for the first time.
PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING
Do not put hot air gun nozzle too close to processed material, as it could cause reflection of hot air
stream from the surface and activation of overheating protection.
Choose distance between nozzle and processed object depending on its material and additional nozzle
being used. Determine the most suitable temperature by trials and errors, therefore start operation at low
temperature range.
In case of overheating (thermal overloading), when thermal protection activates, heaters inside hot
air gun are switched off automatically, but blower continues to operate. When the tool cools down to
working temperature setting, heating will be switched on automatically.
SHAPING PLASTIC PIPES / DEFROSTING
Put reflector nozzle onto outlet nozzle. Avoid narrowing the pipe by filling it with sand and sealing at
both sides.
Heat the pipe by moving it over the hot air gun.
Always heat frozen water system pipes starting from ends towards middle point. To avoid damages, be
very careful when heating plastic pipes and connections between pipes.
Often it is impossible to differ water system pipes from gas pipes. Be very careful. You must not heat
gas pipes under any circumstances.
PRIOR TO OPERATION
1. Work place
Ensure there are no objects nearby that limit free movement, comfortable and safe use of the tool.
2. Power supply
Ensure the specification of power supply that the hot air gun is to be connected to matches requirements
described on the rating plate of the tool.
3. Switch
Ensure the switch is in the off position. When plugging to power supply socket when the switch is in the ON
position, immediate start of hot air gun operation may cause a serious accident.
4. Extension cord
When the workplace is far away from the power supply socket use extension cord with appropriate cross
section, matched to current used. Use the shortest possible extension cord.
5. Operation check
Operation of hot air gun should be smooth and even. Use such tool only.
REMOVING PAINT
Switch hot air gun and set appropriate working temperature.
Direct the hot air stream to surface coated with paint. Bubbles will appear after some time. Do not
allow burning of paint, it would make removal more difficult.
When removing paint with scraper or putty knife, remove it gradually from top to bottom. If you
encounter a place where the paint cannot be removed, carefully put the hot air gun closer to aid you in
your work. Clean the putty knife blade from time to time.
Remove paint before it hardens, otherwise it will adhere to the knife blade.
After the work is finished, quickly remove remaining of paint with wire brush before it hardens.
