8 - SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Personal Protective Equipment Category III 817.600 "BIGRIG" is:
- a rigging plate for multiple connections for up to 6 users at the same time;
- an anchor device with one or more stationary points and with the need for a structural anchor or
fixing element to fix it to the structure, intended to be used in personal fall protection systems;
- designed to host suitable winches and work with a load up to 240kg;
- part of a system protecting against impact caused by fall from a height;
- certified according to RfU CNB/P/11.114, tested according to EN 795:2012/A and CEN/
TS16415:2013/A (for 2 users at the same time).

of this device, which also allows the direct connection of other textile devices.

Compatibility – This device has been designed to be used with:
- ropes according to EN1891 or EN892;
- lanyards according to EN354 and/or EN566;
- connectors according to EN362 and/or EN12275;
- when used as an anchor or support plate for the winch, tubular elements with a diameter of
between 48mm and 50mm.
Winch suitability – The slot (L) is designed to host a suitable winch, and this device is compliant to
EN1496:2017 with the winches shown in the table.

Checks before and after use - Before and after use make sure that the device is in efficient
condition and working properly, particularly check that:
- is suitable for the use you intend to make of it;

- has not been mechanically deformed;
- shows no sign of cracks, wear, corrosion and oxidation;
- screws (D) and nuts (H) are properly tightened;
- jaws (E and F) are in efficient conditions;
- markings are still readable.
Before use and in a position that is completely safe, on each occasion check that the device holds
correctly by putting your weight on it.
Important:
- it is recommended to mark the anchor device with the date of the last inspection carried out;
- consider the maximum displacement of the device in the load application condition (up to 30 mm);
- the installation must be carried out by competent persons and properly checked by means of
calculations or tests;
- before attaching the winch, read and understand its instruction and information supplied by the
manufacturer;
- this device should only be used as protective equipment against falls from a height and not to lift
materials;
- if the marking of the anchor device is not visible after installation, it must be marked on a sign to be
applied in the immediate vicinity;
- consider the suitability of the structure according to the load (up to 12kN) transmitted by the device
during use and its direction of application, which varies according to the type of installation;
- when used as anchor device in a fall arrest system, the user has to be equipped with a means of
limiting the dynamic forces exerted on the user during the arrest of a fall to a maximum of 6 kN.
Warning:
- particular conditions (e.g. heat, cold, humidity, oil, dust) could hinder or affect the performance of
this device;
- the device must be properly installed to the anchor elements to prevent sliding and/or unintentional
disconnection;
- employing a winch attached without compatibility tests made by at least one of the manufacturers
does not guarantee proper performances;
- connected devices:
- must not interfere with each other;
- must be free to move and position themselves in the foreseeable direction of load
application.
Note: when set as required by EN 795, the installer of the anchorage devices must issue to the
customer the installation documentation, signed by the same, containing at least the following
information: address and location of the installation, the name and address of the company that
performed the installation, the name of the person in charge of the installation, the identification of the
anchoring device, methods and data relating to the fixing system, the schematic plan of installation
to display to the users. This documentation must be kept by the purchaser for recording subsequent
inspections of the anchor device. See EN795 for better reference.
EXPERT USE ONLY
"CEVEDALE
The recommended torque of 40Nm is necessary to satisfy the requirements
imposed by the standards applied, and is intended for fixed applications of
this device. Frequent removals and re-installations of this device with these
specifications will lead to its damage.
If the user needs to move frequently this device, it is recommend to lower the
torque (but at least 25Nm) applied and employ a proper restraint system to prevent
possible slippage.
