Safety recommendations
Read the instructions for use carefully

before using your appliance for the first
time. Any use which does not conform
to the instructions will absolve Krups
from any liability.
Do not leave the appliance within reach
•
of children without supervision. The use
of this appliance by young children or
by disabled persons must always be
supervised.
Any intervention other than cleaning,
•
normal maintenance and changing batteries
must be performed by an approved Krups
service centre.
Using your scale
Insert 4 round batteries, type R6 AA 1.5V, in
•
the housing under the appliance. Ensure
that the poles (+ to +/- to -) are installed
correctly.
. Weighing
Place the bowl (a or b) or any other contai-
•
ner on the base of the scale.
Turn on the scale by pressing the "On/Off"
•
button: "8888" will appear on the screen,

wait until it is replaced one second later by
"0".
Place the ingredients in the container; the
•
weight will be displayed.
If the weight exceeds 2,000 or 5,000 g
(depending on the model), the overload
message " Err " will appear. Remove the
excess until the correct weight is displayed.
To turn off the scale, press the "On/
•
Off"control.
Please note: The scale switches itself off
automatically after 5 minutes if it is not used.
Advice:
If you turn on the scale without first having
put your bowl in position, you may set it (reset
the display to "0") simply by pressing the (d5)
"Tare/set" (calibration/setting) control.
. If you want to weigh several ingredients
without having to empty your bowl:
press the "Tare/set" (calibration/setting)
•
control after weighing the first ingredients:
the display will indicate "0".
then weigh the other ingredients, up to the
•
maximum capacity of the scale: 2,000 or
5,000 g (depending on model), by pressing
the "Tare/set" (calibration/setting) control
after each new ingredient.
. ml/g function
A quantity of water or milk can be measured
by pressing the "ml/

To return to weighing in grams, press the
"kg/
" control: "g" will appear in the display
above the last figure.
. Pre-adjustment of weight
To make the weighing easier, you can
programme in the weight to be obtained:
