HP ProCurve 802.11a Access Point Kit 160wl
Wireless Access Point products are wireless network products based on IEEE 802.11 standards for wireless
LANs as defined and approved by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Products designed
according the IEEE 802.11a standard use Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) radio tech
nology. These products are designed to be interoperable with any other wireless product that complies with
the corresponding standard.
The Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) certification is defined by the WECA Wireless Ethernet Compatibility
Alliance.

Wireless LAN and your Health
Wireless LAN products, like other radio devices, emit radio frequency electromagnetic energy. The level of
emitted energy however is far less than the electromagnetic energy emitted by other wireless devices like
mobile phones, for example. Because Wireless LAN products operate within the guidelines found in radio
frequency safety standards and recommendations, we believe that our Wireless LAN products are safe for use
by consumers. These standards and recommendations reflect the consensus of the scientific community and
result from deliberations of panels and committees of scientists who continually review and interpret the
extensive research literature.
