-  Do not lean over too far. Both your feet must remain on the same step when
working on the ladder.
-  Make sure that the steps are locked in position before climbing on them.
-  Always face the ladder when climbing or going down it.
-  Do not use the product as handling equipment.
-  Ladders used for going to the next floor up must always be one metre longer
than the upper floor level.
-  Do not climb up the ladder if you suffer from vertigo or are in a state of
tiredness.
-  Make sure that the work area is not in the vicinity of any bare conductors
liable to be live.
-  The ladder must not be used horizontally or as a bridge.
-  The main safety instructions are indicated on the unit by pictograms
describing their use.
-  Check the operation and visibility of the locking indicators.
-  Check the links for cracks and other failures as no component breakage must
be observed. There must not be any relative movement between the links and
the rungs/steps.
-  Always retain a good hand hold on the ladder when moving up or down it.
Always keep one hand on the ladder or, if this is not possible, take additional
safety measures.
-  Avoid performing any work that places a sideways load on the ladder like
drilling a hole on the side into a solid material.
-  Never move up or down the ladder carrying heavy or hard-to-handle
equipment.
-  Prevent any risk of damage to the ladder during transport, for example, by
attaching it, and check that it is positioned properly to avoid any damage.
-  Never use the ladder outdoors during storms, when the wind is strong, for
example.
-  Be aware of electrical hazards. Identify potential electrical hazards in the
working area such as raised cables or other exposed electrical equipment
and do not use a ladder where there are electrical hazards.
-  When positioning the ladder, make allowance for the collision hazard with
pedestrians, vehicles, doors, etc. Wherever possible, secure doors (but not
emergency exits) and windows in the work area.
-  Do not change the ladder design.
-  Do not move a ladder when on it.
-  Non-self-supporting ladders with steps must be used so that the steps
remain in the horizontal position.
-  The ladder must never be moved from the top.
