11. Open the battery box and lower the battery into it.
12. Your battery should have one of the two types of ter-
minals as illustrated in Figure 6. Connect the power
wires from the back of the control panel to the battery.
The red wire goes to the positive battery terminal and
black wire goes to the negative terminal.

13. Close and lock the battery box. Be sure all of the
wires are tucked inside of the box to prevent them
from being pinched.
14. Record the installation date on the label of the battery
box.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Hazardous voltage. Can shock, burn or
cause death. Review the safety instructions before oper-
ating the system. Do not modify the cords or plugs.
1. Attach the wires as indicated in Table I and as illus-
trated in Figures 7 and 9. Neatly coil any excess
transformer cord and tape it near the transformer.

NOTICE: When the transformer is first plugged in all
lights will come on for 3 seconds then either the green
(System Ready) light or the yellow (Charging/AC
Power) light will come on. The yellow light may flash
rapidly for a few seconds while the system performs a
diagnostic check and then remain on. See Figure 8. If
not, check your battery connections and the battery.

2. With the system installed correctly the performance
will be as indicated in Table IV, on Page 7.
