1-3. Installation
Please follow steps 1-3 for installation of the product into an RJ45 faceplate. After
step 3 the product is ready to screw into the backbox (not included).
4. RS485 wiring
Section 4 shows how to connect the RS485 bus into the proximity reader.
Please note: The colours used are for reference and not essential to the reader
working.
5. Addressing
Using the table in section 5 as a guide, set switches labelled 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 to
the address required. The reader can be addressed from 01 - 31.
6. LED indications
Section 6 shows the LED sequences for the follows scenarios.
i. Powering up
iv. Setting/arming
ii. 485 BUS fail
v. Set/armed or
iii. Day mode (unset)

7. Alarm input wiring
To wire an EOL input to the device, make sure switch A is on and that B and C are
off. Regardless of the EOL setting on the panel, the input must be wired using
DEOL 1k/1k configuration. Please refer to the input's installation guide for wiring.
8. Tamper input wiring
To wire a tamper circuit as normally closed to the device, make sure switch A and
B are on and that C is off. For a normally open circuit, A and C need to be on and
B needs to be off.
9. Output wiring
In order to use the 'Z' terminal as an output, switches B and C need to be on and
switch A needs to be off. The example shown is for access control however it can
be programmed as any type of output. Please refer to the control panel guide for
programming.
