Kindred Faucet KFPOS
Use and Care Instructions
General Use and Care
This faucet has been carefully manufactured, but like anything of lasting quality, will require a certain amount of care to preserve
it's lustrous finish.
Always clean your Kindred faucet with a mild liquid soap, then promptly rinse with warm water and dry with a clean soft cloth.
Soap and mineral deposits can be prevented by taking the time to dry your faucet often. And regular routine cleaning will reduce
the need for any extensive cleaning.
NEVER use abrasive cleaners or waxes, chemical cleaners, alcohol, cleaning agents containing acids, polish abrasives, or harsh
cleansers for cleaning as they may damage the finish of the faucet.
NEVER use vinegar, or bleach, to clean the finish.
Failure to comply with these cleaning instructions may void Kindred warranty obligations.
Cartridge Replacement
Under normal operating conditions, this faucet is unaffected by scaling and corrosion, and does not require any maintenance.
However, should cartridge replacement be necessary, please follow the instructions noted below.
1. Locate the strainer baskets in the sink drain as a precaution against losing any parts down the drain
2. Turn off the water supply valves.
3. Remove the red/blue plastic plug (item 3 x 1 pc.) at the front of the handle, and loosen handle screw (item 2 x 1 pc.) using
allen key. Remove faucet handle (item 1 x 1 pc.).
4. Remove the decorative collar (item 4 x 1 pc.) taking care to not mar, or scratch, the collar surface finish.
5. Remove cartridge nut (item 5 x 1 pc.) and remove cartridge (item 6 x 1 pc.) from faucet body.
6. Clean or exchange the cartridge.
7 . Reassemble by reversing the above procedure, taking special care to align the position pins of the cartridge with the
locating cavity.
Aerator Cleaning
The aerator may become clogged with mineral deposits and other impurities over time.
If it is necessary to clean the aerator, simply unscrew the aerator cover using the green plastic wrench (item 30 x 1 pc.) that has
been supplied with faucet, and remove the aerator screen.
You may clear the obstruction by scrubbing the surface of the aerator screen with a soft nylon brush, and then rinsing the screen
with water. Alternatively you may soak the aerator screen in vinegar, or CLR (demineralizing solution), until mineral deposits have
dissolved, then rinse aerator screen in water.
