Transport, installation
and operating instructions
These instructions apply for the CHEMO UNI-/MULTI-Tank 400 l
in ac cordance with the general construction inspection approval
Z-40.21-365.
The CHEMO UNI-/MULTI-Tanks are supplied as a unit
with an impact-proof cover of recyclable material held in
place by a shrink-wrap as protection during transportation.
The level indicator can be found in the cover on the tank
side. The tanks are fi tted with a leak sensor in the works.
The base is already fi tted in the works. The cover should
only be removed at the place of installation!
The approval certifi cate with transport, installation
and operating instructions, inspection declaration and
warranty document can be found in an envelope in a tank
connection piece.
The tanks may only be installed in a fully enclosed room.
An additional collecting room is not required!
The tank must be installed at least 1 m from any furnaces
(fi replaces, chimneys, connecting pieces).
The tanks may not be installed in
a) passages,
b) staircases,
c) generally accessible corridors,
d) on the roofs of residential buildings, hospitals,
offi ce buildings and similar buildings or in their
attics,
e) offi ces,
f) in guest rooms and bars.
The tanks may only be fi lled with heating oil or diesel fuel
using a free inlet without a fi xed connection of the fi lling
line.
Insert the level indicator in the upper connection piece.
The cap has to be removed beforehand, slide the union
nut over the indicator from below and screw the threaded
liner into place. Then fasten the level indicator by screwing
the union nut onto the connection piece using the en-
closed seal.
The tanks can also be connected with a fi xed connection
for automatic removal via submerged-pumpsor pumps
with subsequent accumulator. In this case the systems
should be fi tted with an automatic safety device to prevent
a siphon effect.
If operated with an automatic removal the tanks must be
adequately ventilated, e.g. through the use of an aeration
and ventilation insert (2") that can be mounted in the
existing threaded liner.
The overfi ll safety device with the order no. 7330 is
available as an accessory for storing nonfl ammable media
and the specifi ed connection.
The leak sensor with the order no. 7391 is available as
an accessory for storing used lubricating, hydraulic or
thermal oils.
