CHARGING WITH THE AC POWER ADAPTER
NOTE: Batteries are shipped uncharged. Allow
batteries to charge completely prior to initial
use.
1. Open the protective cover on the printer to expose
the DC input charger jack. (See Figure 5)
2. Connect the appropriate AC power cord for your
geography to the adapter and then plug the power
cord into an AC receptacle. (See Figure 5)
NOTE: It is possible to charge the battery when
using the printer, however, charge time will
increase under this condition.
NOTE: Battery charger and USB PC cord sold
separately.
3. Plug the barrel plug from the AC adapter into the
charger jack on the printer. (See Figure 5)
4. The printer will power up and begin charging. The
printer can be left on or turned off at this point.
Charging will continue in either state, and the
status of which will be monitored by the LED charge
indicator on the front of the printer.

CHARGING THE BATTERY WITH A SMART CHARGER
1.
Plug the SC2 charger into the AC outlet.
2. Insert the smart battery pack in the SC2 charger.
(See Figure 4)
3. The LED on the front of the charger will indicate the
battery pack's charge status. (See Figure 4)
NOTE: Green indicates fully charged, yellow
indicates charging, and amber indicates
a fault. When the SC2 is plugged in but no
battery is present, the Charge Status LED
indicator will be green.
4. A second LED will indicate the health of the battery
pack. (See Figure 4)
NOTE: Green indicates good, yellow indicates
capacity diminished, yellow flashing indicates
past useful life, and amber indicates unusable.
If the LED is off, there is either no battery or
power present.
