F. STARTING AND USE
Keep the following warnings in mind before starting the vehicle:
1. Each attempt to start the vehicle must not last longer than 5 seconds, with an interval of
at least 5 seconds between start attempts.
2. After five attempts, let the battery rest for at least 3 minutes to let it cool down.
3. Leaving the vehicle lights on for a long period of time after turning off the engine could
discharge the battery excessively and make it impossible to start again.
4. If the vehicle will not be used for more than one month, we recommend disconnecting a
battery pole or leaving a battery charger connected with the charge maintainer function.
5. Vehicles with a satellite alarm consume more power and the battery will discharge faster
as a result.
6. Low temperatures have a negative impact on battery performance; when starting below
0°C it is recommended to turn on the lights for 1-2 minutes to warm up the battery. This will
return battery performance to normal levels.
7. Do not leave the battery exposed to excessively high temperatures for a long period, its
operating life could be negatively impacted.
The battery does not require special care and its operating life can be preserved best when
the charging system functions correctly and it is used in compliance with the indicated
parameters.
The lithium battery operating voltage is approx. 0.8V higher than a normal lead-acid battery
and therefore has a greater discharge capacity. In theory, a higher voltage implies improved
fuel combustion, less consumption and quicker starts.
