Operation and maintenance manual

Thank you for purchasing our halogen floodlight.
Before operating the halogen floodlight, please read the following instructions
for use carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
PROPER USE
The halogen floodlight is splash-proof, conforms with IP44, and is
suitable for occasional use in exterior areas.
The halogen floodlight conforms with the applicable European CE
guidelines.
GENERAL SAFETy INSTRUcTIONS
The halogen floodlight:
• must always be placed at least 1m away from the surface
being illuminated – in particular, the power cable must not
be illuminated or come into contact with the metal housing –
maintain the specified minimum clearances (s. 1-4).
• must always be given sufficient time to cool down – the
floodlight housing can get extremely hot – the power supply
to the floodlight must always be disconnected and locked out
before servicing, e.g. for bulb replacement or cleaning.
• must only be used on flat, stable surfaces.
• use only with a sufficiently protected 230V~ installation.
• must not be used in rooms that represent an explosion hazard
(e.g. cabinetmaker's workshop, painting operation, or similar).
• must not be used in the immediate vicinity of flammable
materials.
• must not be set up in the immediate vicinity of pools, fountains,
ponds, or similar bodies of water.must not be immersed in
water or other liquids.
• must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
• must not be operated with wet hands; never look directly into
the light source.

• must never be covered.
• must never be operated with an open housing, missing or
damaged wiring compartment, or missing or damaged lens.
• must never be sprayed or cleaned using a steam pressure
cleaner since this can damage the insulation and seals.

carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized service
representative.
MOTION dETEcTOR – GENERAL INFORMATION
• The motion detector uses passive infrared technology.
• Highly sensitive infrared detectors react to minute temperature changes in
the coverage area, e.g. those caused by a human being.
• Trees and shrubs can trigger false readings – the ideal installation height is
2.5m.
• The range and sensitivity depends on the ambient temperature; for
example, the range can increase in cool weather.
• While the motion detector is protected against the weather, an additional
enclosure is recommended.

ILLUMINANT INSTALLATION
• Loosen the screw on the top of the floodlight and swing the lens forward.
• Remove the illuminant from the packaging.
• Avoid touching it with bare hands since this causes grease stains which
lead to overheating. Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
• Insert one end of the illuminant into the socket, press against it, and insert
the other end of the illuminant into the socket. Ensure that the socket is not
damaged.
